Test D: Speedometer Does Not Operate

Turn ignition on. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector (C221). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Place gear selector in Neutral, and raise vehicle. Connect voltmeter positive lead to terminal No. 2 (Black/Red wire), and connect negative lead to ground. While turning drive wheel by hand, voltage should fluctuate. If voltage fluctuates, replace speedometer. If voltage does not fluctuate, repair Black/Red wire, or replace vehicle speed sensor.
