Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge

When coolant temperature is low, engine coolant temperature gauge sensor will have about 200 ohms resistance. When coolant temperature increases, sensor resistance will decrease. When coolant is hot, sensor resistance is about 10 ohms. This resistance change alters current flow through sensor, which causes gauge to register coolant temperature.
