Instrument Panel: Speedometer

Speedometer receives signal from Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) in the form of voltage pulses. Voltage pulses are filtered by a VSS buffer located inside speedometer. Voltage fluctuates between zero and battery voltage 6 times per wheel revolution. The speed sensor signal is also sent to the Cruise Control ECU, Engine Control Module (ECM), Memory Seat ECU, Air Suspension ECU, the Service Reminder Unit, and the Multifunction Unit (MFU).
