Air Supply Unit: Removal
WARNING:
Air suspension is pressurized up to 10 bar. Dirt or grease must not enter system. Wear hand, ear and eye safety standard protection when servicing system.
- Depressurize system. Refer to DEPRESSURIZING & PRESSURIZING SYSTEM under SERVICING.
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove air supply unit side cover plate. See Fig 1 .
- Disconnect multi-plug.
- Disconnect compressor inlet pipe and seal all exposed ends. See Fig 2 .
- Support air supply unit. Remove 4 mounting bolts.
- Remove air assembly top cover plate. See Fig 1 .
- Clean all components. Identify air pipe connections.
- Disconnect air pipe connections. See AIR PIPE . Seal all exposed ends. Disconnect remaining multi-plug.
- Remove air pipes and wiring harness from assembly.
- Remove air supply unit from vehicle.
CAUTION:
DO NOT allow unit to hang on pipes or electrical leads.
