Compressor Operation

Before Air Suspension ECU will operate compressor and dump valve, ECU must detect that reservoir pressure is low, based on Reservoir Pressure Switch's position when engine is running. When these conditions are met, ECU will apply battery voltage to Air Suspension Compressor Relay. The relay will energize and apply voltage to compressor. The compressor is equipped with a thermal circuit breaker that ECU monitors at terminal No. 16. If circuit breaker opens due to an overheated compressor, ECU will turn off compressor by interrupting power to compressor relay. When reservoir pressure switch detects full pressure, ECU will stop compressor.
