Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the front wiper motor.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - " WIPER MOTOR  ") 

  2. Remove the main crash pad assembly.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "MAIN CRASH PAD ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Remove the Integrated Central control Unit (ICU).

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - " INTEGRATED CENTRAL CONTROL UNIT (ICU)  ") 

  4. Remove the Integrated Body Control Unit (IBU).

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - " INTEGRATED BODY CONTROL UNIT (IBU)  ") 

  5. Remove interior antenna 1.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - " SMART KEY ANTENNA  ") 

  6. Separate the MDPS column & housing.

    (Refer to Steering System - " MDPS COLUMN & HOUSING  ") 

  7. Disconnect the main wiring harness connector.
    1. Disconnect the airbag control module (SRSCM) connector (A).

    2. Disconnect the roof antenna connector (A).

    3. Disconnect the roof trim connector (A).

    4. Disconnect the multi box connectors (A).

  8. Disconnect the heater and blower unit connectors.
    1. Disconnect the temperature control actuator connector (A).

    2. Disconnect the mode control actuator connector (A).

    3. Disconnect the auto defogging actuator connector (A).

    4. Disconnect the evaporator sensor connector (A).

    5. Disconnect the blower motor connector (A).

    6. Disconnect the intake actuator connector (A).

    7. Disconnect the blower resistor connector (A).

  9. Remove the main wiring harness wiring clip.
    1. Remove the A pillar wiring clips (A).

    2. Remove the heater and blower unit wiring clips (A).

  10. Remove the driver's side shower duct (A) after removing the screw.

  11. Remove the dash panel cowl cross bar bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    22.6 - 30.4 N.m (2.3 - 3.1 kgf.m, 16.6 - 22.4 lb.ft)

  12. Remove the side panel cowl cross bar bolts (A) after removing hole plug (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    17.7 - 23.5 N.m (1.8 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13 - 17.4 lb.ft)

  13. Remove the heater and blower unit bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft, 34.7 - 52.1 lb.in)

  14. Remove the cowl cross bar assembly (A) after removing the bolts.

    Tightening torque 

    Bolt: 6.9 - 25.5 N.m (0.7 - 2.6 kgf.m, 5.1 - 18.8 lb.ft)

    Nut: 3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft)

  15. Remove the main wiring harness (A).
