General Information: General Description
The Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) temperature sensor is located in the valve body. The sensor uses a thermistor which resistance changes according to temperature change. The PCM supplies approximately 5 reference volts to the sensor, the output voltage of the sensor changes with ATF temperature change. This information is monitored by the PCM which assist in controlling the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC), shift control and other purposes.
