Shift Cable Inspection
- Shift gear lever to "N".
- Check the matching of the manual control lever and inhibitor switch "N" position.
- "N" position check procedure.
- Insert the jig (Ø 5) to the "N" position setting hole. (Refer to Fig.1)
When you insert the jig, there shall be no such strain/jam between manual control lever and cable lever.
- If the strain or jam occur, remove the shift cable nut and adjust the position of inhibitor switch.
- Remove the jig from the "N" position setting hole.
- Shift gear lever from "P" to "D" after procedure completion two times.
Good
- Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connector or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connector (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then Go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
No Good
- Go to "SHIFT LEVER INSPECTION " procedure.
