DTC C1817-83: CAN Signal Error Gateway: General Description

The Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) assists steering wheel differently depending on vehicle speed. The engine information is used to enhance MDPS steering feel. Vehicle speed and engine information are relayed from gateway module to MDPS through CAN message. It is necessary for MDPS to check if such CAN information is normally received without timeout.
