DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check ECM message time interval
  • Open or short in CAN line
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "ON"
Threshold Value
  • No ECM CAN message for higher than 3s
Fail Safe
  • MDPS warning lamp "ON", set to 80 km/h (50 mph) mode
Restoration Conditions
  • When ECM receives normal signal
