DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • SAS position monitoring
  • Faulty SAS position
  • MDPS
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "ON" and engine "ON"
Threshold Value
  • If the column is to go over 700degree
Fail Safe
  • Normal control
  • Prohibit restoration control related steering angle (normal basic MDPS operation)
Restoration Conditions
  • After initializing steering angle
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "OFF"
Threshold Value
  • If the motor position sensor is abnormal
Fail Safe
  • Stop to control (manual mode)
Restoration Conditions
  • Normal condition after ignition "ON"
