DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 DTC Strategy
  • Signal plausibility (tooth number check)
  • Poor connection
  • Noise
  • Short in harness
  • Target wheel
  • ECM
Enable Condition
  • Engine is synchronized
  • Engine speed is greater than 512 RPM
Threshold Value
  • Number of missing/additional teeth after long tooth is greater than or equal to 1
Diagnostic Time
  • 5 revolutions
Case 2 DTC Strategy
  • Signal plausibility (Loss of synchronization)
Enable Condition
  • Engine is synchronized
Threshold Value
  • Number of missing/additional teeth before long tooth is greater than or equal to 2
Diagnostic Time
  • 3 revolutions
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
