Check fuel pressure
- Ignition "OFF". Disconnect fuel pump relay in junction box.
- Start the engine and wait until it stalls.
- Ignition "OFF". Connect fuel pump relay.
- Install the fuel pressure gauge to the delivery pipe using the fuel pressure gauge adaptor. (refer to FUEL PRESSURE TEST (LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM) )
- Activate the fuel pump, check for fuel leaks from the pressure gauge or fuel system.
- Measure the fuel pressure at idle.
Specification : Over 290 kPa (2.9 bar, 2.95 kgf/cm2 )
Good
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
No Good
- Repair or replace according to the table below. Go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
