Inspection Procedure

Visual inspection

1. Check the coolant level.

Thermostat check

1. After immersing the thermostat in water, heat the water slowly.
2. Check the temperature at which the valve opens.
   • Specification:  Valve open temperature: 90 ± 1.5°C (194 ± 34.7°F)

   Valve opening temperature: 100°C (212°F)

3. Check the amount of valve opening.
   • Specification:  8 mm or more (100°C (212°F))

   Good 

   • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
   • If no problems were found, replace the thermostat and Go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.

   No Good 

   • Repair or replace as necessary and then, Go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
