DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Plausibility check
  • Connecting condition
  • Open or short to ground in power circuit
  • Open or short to ground in signal circuit
  • Faulty TPS
  • Faulty MAPS
  • Faulty ECM
Case 1 Enable Condition
  • Engine speed during engine start is greater than 608 to 960 RPM
  • Pressure quotient (MAP/BARO) is less than 0.8
  • Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Filtered reduced area controller is less than -90% to -40% or filtered reduced area controller is greater than +40% to 99.5%
Diagnostic Time
  • 5s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
Case 2 Enable Condition
  • Engine speed during engine start is greater than 608 to 960 RPM
  • Pressure quotient (MAP/BARO) is greater than 0.8
  • Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Filtered BARO controller is less than -14.5% to -20% or greater than +14% to +20%v (versus BARO)
Diagnostic Time
  • 5s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
Case 3 Enable Condition
  • Engine off time is more than 2.6s
  • Engine speed is less than 32 RPM
  • BARO sensor value is between 400 hPa and 1150 hPa
  • MAP sensor voltage is between 0.2V and 4.8V
  • Pressure Up Throttle (PUT) sensor voltage is between 0.2V and 4.8V
Threshold Value
  • Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) is out of range (engine stopped)
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediately
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
Case 4 Enable Condition
  • Engine speed during engine start is 608 to 960 RPM
Threshold Value
  • Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) is out of range (engine running)
