Removal & Installation: Removal

Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to Engine And Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE COVER ")
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")
Disconnect the wiring connectors and harness clamps and remove the wiring protector around the surge tank.

Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A) after releasing the clamp.

Disconnect the Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV) hose (A) after releasing the clamp.

Separate the Electric Throttle Control (ETC) module.
(Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "ETC (ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL) SYSTEM ")
Disconnect the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose (A) after releasing the clamp.

Remove the surge tank stay (A) after removing the bolts.
Tightening torque:

27.5 - 31.4 N.m (2.8 - 3.2 kgf.m, 20.3 - 23.1 lb.ft)

Remove the surge tank (A) after removing the bolts and nuts.
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
