DTC B160F-00: IAU Local CAN Bus Off: General Description
Identity Authentication Unit (IAU): The digital key system is a system that can function as door lock/unlock and start-up through smart phone or NFC card key. If a customer register smartphone or NFC card key to the vehicle, the customer can use smartphone and NFC card key to start the drive without having to carry them. The door lock/unlock is equipped with an NFC antenna on the outside door handle and the NFC antenna on the left of the wireless charger is integrated for start-up authentication. Also, the vehicle is equipped with a BLE module. It is mounted separately near the IAU. It communicates with the BLE of the smartphone to perform the RKE function that was performed on the existing smart key (remote lock/unlock, trunk and panic). The IAU receives encrypted digital key values from the smartphone and analyze them. In this way, the authentication results transmit to IBU. To enhance IAU-IBU communication security, the IAU-IBU learning are performed with a diagnostic tool.
