Removal & Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the wiper motor.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "WIPER MOTOR ")

  2. Remove the main crash pad assembly.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "MAIN CRASH PAD ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Remove the Integrated Central Control Unit (ICU).

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "INTEGRATED CENTRAL CONTROL UNIT (ICU) ")

  4. Remove the ADAS parking ECU.

    (Refer to Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) - "ADAS PARKING ECU (ADAS_PRK) ")

  5. Remove the front nuts and through bolts and lower the steering column down.

    (Refer to Steering System - "MDPS COLUMN AND HOUSING ")

  6. Remove the dash panel cowl cross bar bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    21.6 - 29.4 N.m (2.2 - 3 kgf.m, 15.9 - 21.7 lb.ft)

  7. Remove the side panel cowl cross bar bolts (A) after removing hole plug (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    16.7 - 23.5 N.m (1.7 - 2.4 kgf.m, 12.3 - 17.4 lb.ft)

  8. Disconnect the SRSCM connector (A) by releasing the locking pin.

  9. Disconnect the roof trim connector (A).

  10. Disconnect the roof antenna connector (A).

  11. Disconnect the multi-box connectors (A).

  12. Remove the driver's side shower duct (A) after removing the screw.

  13. Remove the passenger's side shower duct (A) after removing the screw.

  14. Disconnect the each connector of the heater and blower unit and remove the wiring clips.

    [Driver's Side] 

    1. Disconnect the temperature control actuator connector (A).

      [Passenger's Side] 

    1. Disconnect the temperature actuator connector (A).

    2. Disconnect the auto defogging actuator connector (A).

    3. Disconnect the intake actuator connector (A).

    4. Disconnect the PWM-FET connector (A) and evaporator temperature sensor connector (B).

    5. Disconnect the blower motor connector (A).

    6. Remove the wiring clips (A).

      Information

  15. Remove the cowl cross bar assembly (A) after removing the bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    16.7 - 22.6 N.m (1.7 - 2.3 kgf.m, 12.3 - 16.6 lb.ft)

  16. Remove the main wiring harness (A) installed to the cowl cross bar.

    NOTE: Location of the main wiring install it in the correct initial position exactly.
