DTC C1702-04: Variant Coding Error: General Description

Although there is no hardware difference in the ECU depending on the specification of the vehicle, the software used depends on the difference in the vehicle's parameters used in ESC (ESP) control.

The HECU stores the value of the variant code classified based on data received over CAN communication in ECU memory.

The ECU then reads various parameter values that are required based on code values stored in memory and uses them to perform ESC (ESP) functions.
