- Poor connector connection
- Abnormal CAN communication circuits (open circuit, short circuit)
- CAN high line open circuit
- CAN low line open circuit
- CAN high and low line open circuit
- CAN high line short circuit to power/ground
- CAN low line short circuit to power/ground
- CAN high, low lines shorted to each other
- Short circuit to ground after CAN high, low lines
- Poor termination resistance
- Transmitting controller bus off
- Transmitting controller disconnected
- Transmitting controller power, fuse or ground fault
- Transmitting controller H/W, S/W fault
- CAN line noise

- Normal 12V battery voltage (9 to 16V)
- Ignition "ON"

| Threshold Value |
- When P-CAN bus off occurs and it is keep for more than 0.14s during control or 0.7s during non-control, a fault is detected
- Vehicle speed is less than 6KPH (3.72MPH), and not controlled
- Vehicle speed is greater than 6KPH or controlling
