Short in circuit inspection (WSS ↔ Chassis ground)
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the connector(s) from WSS.
 WSS RL connector 2 (signal) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
WSS RL extension harness connector (4WD) 1 (signal) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
Open in circuit inspection (WSS ↔ HECU)
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the connector(s) from WSS, HECU.
 WSS RL connector 2 (signal) HECU connector 41 (signal) Approx. below 1Ω
WSS RL extension harness connector (4WD) 1 (signal) HECU connector 41 (signal) Approx. below 1Ω
WSS RL connector 1 (power) HECU connector 25 (power) Approx. below 1Ω
WSS RL extension harness connector (4WD) 2 (power) HECU connector 25 (power) Approx. below 1Ω
Voltage inspection (WSS ↔ Chassis ground)
  1. Connect the connector(s) from WSS.
  2. Ignition "ON".
 WSS RL connector 2 (signal) Chassis ground - 0V
WSS RL extension harness connector (4WD) 1 (signal) Chassis ground - 0V
WSS RL connector 1 (power) Chassis ground - Approx. 11.2V
WSS RL extension harness connector (4WD) 2 (power) Chassis ground - Approx. 11.2V
Oscilloscope (WSS)
  1. Clear all DTCs in the system with KDS.
  2. Ignition "ON".
  3. Measure the waveform using VMI of KDS.
  4. Disconnect the connector(s) from WSS.
