Remove the tailgate lid lower trim.
(Refer to Tailgate - "TAILGATE LID TRIM ")
Remove the tailgate garnish connector (A).

Remove the inside rear combination lamp connectors (A).

Remove the tailgate garnish nuts (A).
Tightening torque:

2 - 2.9 N.m (0.2 - 0.3 kgf.m, 1.4 - 2.2 lb.ft, 17.4 - 26 lb.in)
