Inspection Procedure

  1. Ignition "ON".
  2. Place gear lever position to "R".
  3. Using automotive stethoscope, listen to sensor operation sound.
  4. Is sensor operation sound heard?

    Good 

    • Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of 12V battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.

    No Good 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting procedure steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace PDW rear LH (Center) sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
