Glove Box Housing

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal and the service interlock connector.
    1. Remove the upper battery cover (A) after rotating valve in the direction of the arrow.

    2. Disconnect the auxiliary 12 V negative (-) battery terminal (A) after loosening the nut.

      Tightening torque  :

      7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)

    3. Remove the engine room junction box cover (A).

    4. Disconnect the service interlock connector (A).
      WARNING: Wait more than 3 minutes for capacitor in the inverter to be discharged completely after disconnecting the high voltage service interlock connector.

      NOTE: The high voltage service interlock connector cannot be completely removed.

  2. Remove the glove box.
  3. Remove the crash pad side cover [Passenger's side].

    (Refer to Crash Pad -  "CRASH PAD SIDE COVER ")

  4. Remove the glove box housing (A) after removing the screws and nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    16.7 - 25.5 N.m (1.7 - 2.6 kgf.m, 12.3 - 18.8 lb.ft)

  5. Disconnect the connectors (A).
