DTC C1616-88: C-CAN Bus Off: General Description
The main features of Controller Area Network (CAN) bus system are:
- Signals are broadcast in both directions.
- The Multi-master principle.
- High availability by locating failed control units.
- Standardization in accordance with ISO 11898.
Vehicle electronically control need many informations of each module to increase convenience/safety by optimum control. The control module can either receive data from the each module by using CAN communication. The CAN communication is one of the vehicle communications method, which is now widely used to transfer the vehicle data.
RR_C_RDR has additional function which helps to keep the warning indicator from the car ahead as compared with vehicle speed, yaw rate, turn signal. RR_C_RDR uses CAN communication to exchange information, which is required for control, with related ECUs and to receive input signal from the other ECU. CAN communication type is communication speed is high speed CAN and two terminal resistance is connected in a line. RR_C_RDR has a CAN controller to control signal exchange.
