Removal And Installation - Front Motor: Removal
WARNING:
- When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION AND CAUTION . If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES .
NOTE:
- Use a fender cover to protect the painted surface.
- Be careful not to damage the connector when disconnecting.
- Follow the instructions below when releasing the quick connector.
- Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal and the service interlock connector.
(Refer to Battery Control System - " AUXILIARY BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - (2WD) ")
- Remove the front under cover.
(Refer to Motor and Reduction Gear System - " FRONT UNDER COVER ")
- Drain the motor system coolant.
(Refer to Electric Vehicle Cooling System - " MOTOR COOLANT REFILLING AND AIR BLEEDING ")
- Drain the front motor and reduction gear oil.
(Refer to Motor and Reduction Gear System - " FRONT MOTOR AND REDUCTION GEAR OIL ")
- Disconnect the motor & reduction oil cooler coolant hose (A) after releasing the quick connector.
- Disconnect rear motor and reduction gear oil cooler hose (A) after releasing the quick connector.
- Remove the front motor and reduction gear oil cooler (A) after removing bolts and nut.
Tightening torque:
16.7 - 23.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.4 kgf.m, 14.5 - 17.3 lb.ft)
