Shift Lever Inspection
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Shift gear lever to "D" from "N".
- Check that the shift lever is interrupted between "N" and "D".
- Replace the shift lever if shift lever is interrupted between "N" and "D".
Good
- Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connector or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connector (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
No Good
- Go to "WIRING INSPECTION " procedure.
