DTC P0079-00: Exhaust Valve Control Solenoid Circuit Low (Bank 1): General Description

Variable Force Solenoid (VFS) varies its force according to the PWM duty, controlling the stroke of the CVVT oil control valve bolt, rotating the rotor connected to the camshaft within the cam phaser, rotating the camshaft in the direction of rotation of the engine (intake/exhaust retard) or in the opposite direction (intake crust/exhaust advance) to change the phase angle of the cam.
