DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Performance inspection
  • Poor connector connection
  • ATS
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage is between 11 and 16V
  • Engine speed is between 768 and 960 RPM
  • Vehicle speed is higher than 40km/h (24.85MPH)
Threshold Value
  • Failure diagnosis if the ATS value is greater or smaller than the temperature value modeled during cold and hot periods: Difference of ATS value and model value is greater than 20°C (68°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • 3s
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage is between 11 and 16V
  • At least 6h after engine "OFF"
  • Engine coolant temperature reduction is below 1.4°C (34.5°F) when after engine "ON" and the vehicle speed is more than 25km/h (15.53MPH) and for 15s
  • Intake, engine oil and ambient temperature reduction are below2.0°C (68°F) when after engine "ON" and the vehicle speed is more than 25km/h (15.53MPH) and for 15s
  • ATS is greater than -30°C (-22°F)
Threshold Value
  • Failure diagnosis if the ATS value is greater or smaller than the temperature value modeled during cold and warm up periods: Difference of ATS value and intake, engine coolant temperature model value is greater than 25°C (77°F)
