DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor the signal
  • Check connector status
  • Faulty E-CVVT assembly
  • Open circuit of control circuit
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • E-CVVT relay "ON"
  • E-CVVT control "ON"
  • Battery voltage is between 10 and 16V
  • PWM control is more than 2.0% for E-CVVT
Threshold Value
  • The measured current value of E-CVVT is below 0.5A
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • E-CVVT relay "ON"
  • E-CVVT control "ON"
  • Camshaft position gradient is below 3 degree/s
  • Battery voltage is between 10 and 16V
Threshold Value
  • E-CVVT output voltage (low side: more than 4.5V, high side: below 2.2V)
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 1 driving cycle
