The Rail Pressure Sensor (RPS) measures the fuel pressure in the delivery pipe and transmits the voltage value to the ECM.
Using this voltage signal, the ECM can control the exact fuel injection amount and injection timing, and when the target fuel pressure and the actual fuel pressure are different, the fuel pressure can be adjusted using the fuel pressure control valve.
