Repair Procedures: Removal

Release the residual pressure in the fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
Remove the rear seat cushion.
(Refer to Body - "REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
Remove the fuel pump service cover (A).

Disconnect the connectors (A, B, C) from fuel pump.
1. Fuel injection tube quick-connector
2. Fuel pump connector
3. Fuel tank pressure sensor connector

Lift the vehicle by using the lift.
Remove the center muffler assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "MUFFLER ")
Remove the propeller shaft assembly (A).[For 4WD]
(Refer to Driveshaft and Axle - "PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY ")
Remove the hose (A) and the quick-connectors (B, C) from the fuel tank.
Tightening torque:

4.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.5 - 0.6 kgf.m, 3.6 - 4.3 lb.ft, 43.4 - 52.1 lb.in)
1. Fuel injection hose
2. Leveling hose
3. Vapor hose

Support the fuel tank on a jack.
Remove the fuel tank band after removing fuel tank band mounting nuts (A).
Tightening torque:

39.2 - 53.9 N.m (4.0 - 5.5 kgf.m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb.ft)
