Transaxle Mounting Bracket

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Intake And Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Remove the battery and battery tray.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  4. Remove the LH front wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FRONT WHEEL GUARD ")

  5. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to Engine And Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  6. Install the jack under the transaxle to support.
    NOTE: Put the rubber block between the jack and transaxle to avoid damaging the transaxle.
  7. Remove the transaxle support bracket mounting bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    107.8 - 127.4 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.5 - 94.0 lb.ft)

    NOTE: When tightening the transaxle mounting bolts (A), tighten the lower bolt and then the upper bolt.
  8. Remove the transaxle support mounting bracket (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    58.8 - 78.5 N.m (6.0 - 8.0 kgf.m, 43.4 - 57.9 lb.ft)

  9. Remove the transaxle mounting bracket (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    68.6 - 88.2 N.m (7.0 - 9.0 kgf.m, 50.6 - 65.0 lb.ft)

  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
