Inspection Procedure

Visual Inspection
1. Check the air cleaner for blockage or wetness.
2. Check that the engine oil cap or dip stick is installed correctly.
3. Check the intake air system for leakage.
Inspect whether to leak air or stuck
1. Inspect a contamination, gasket and installation.
  - Damaged or installation of throttle body.
  - Damaged or installation of intake manifold and gasket which is installed in surge tank.
  - Contamination and stuck in intake manifold.
  - Contamination between surge tank and PCSV and stuck open.
  - Damaged or contamination of HO2S (up).
  - Visual check leak a catalyst and a exhaust system of HO2S (down).
Good
- Go to "WIRING INSPECTION " procedure.
No Good
- Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
