DTC P0557-00: Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Low: General Description

The brake booster vacuum pressure sensor, installed in the brake booster, detects the vacuum pressure of the brake booster to prevent abnormal braking caused by a lack of vacuum pressure on the brake booster. If the vacuum pressure is insufficient in the idle state, the PCM releases the ISG control to form an appropriate vacuum pressure. ISG mode will not operate in the event of a DTC.
