DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring engine efficiency for catalyst heating
  • Intake air restriction
  • Exhaust restriction
  • Damaged or sludgy throttle body
  • Vacuum leaks
  • Damaged PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Engine speed is higher than 768 RPM
  • Battery voltage is between 11 and 16V
  • Catalyst heating is active
  • Catalyst heating ignition efficiency set point is below 0.7
Threshold Value
  • Sum of difference between actual ignition timing efficiency and target value is greater than 0.14
Diagnostic Time
  • 7s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycle
