DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Upstream and downstream HO2S values are compared to each other to determine catalyst performance
  • Exhaust system
  • Poor connector connection
  • Catalyst converter
  • Downstream HO2S
Enable Conditions
  • Engine coolant temperature is higher than 50°C (120°F)
  • Modeled catalyst temperature is between 370 and 930°C (698 and 1706°F)
  • Vehicle speed is greater than 20km/h (12.5MPH)
  • Engine speed is between 370 and 930 RPM
  • Engine torque is between 10 and 20Nm
  • Air mass flow is between 140 and 560mg/stk
  • Barometric pressure is greater than 75 kPa
  • Lambda stimulation active (rich ← lean)
  • Stable driving condition
  • Upstream, downstream H02S ready
  • Temperature of upstream HO2S tip is higher than 720°C (1328°F)
  • Duration of upstream H02S heating is more than 70s
  • Temperature of downstream HO2S tip is higher than 635°C (1175°F)
  • Duration of downstream H02S heating is more than 70s
  • Initial downstream HO2S output value greater than 0.6V
  • Integrated air mass flow is below 2g

  • The ratio of measured OSC value and OSC model value is below 1.0
Diagnostic Time
  • 25s

  • 2 driving cycle
