DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal monitoring
  • Poor connector connection and open or short circuit
  • Wheel speed sensor connector and wire unstable connection
  • Water flow into wheel speed sensor connector and wiring
  • Open or short in wheel speed sensor circuit
  • Faulty wheel speed sensor
  • Faulty HECU
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
Threshold Value ESP
  • A failure is detected when the current of WSS is out of specified range of 4.5 to 20 mA longer than 0.2s
EPB
  • When two or more WSS signals are faulty
Warning Lamp
  • EBD, ABS, VDC, AVH, EPB
Disable Condition ESP
  • When all wheel speed is normal after driving more than 7.45MPH after the ignition switch turns off and then on
EPB
  • When three or more WSS signals are normal
