Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")

  2. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  3. Remove the front wheel transfer assembly.

    (Refer to All Drive Wheel (AWD) - "FRONT WHEEL TRANSFER CASE ASSEMBLY ")

  4. Separate the heater hose (A), (B) connected to auxiliary electronic water pump (AEWP).

  5. Separate the connector (A) in connected the auxiliary electronic water pump (AEWP) (A).

  6. Remove the auxiliary electronic water pump (AEWP) (A) by removing the mounting bolt.

    Tightening Torque:  1.9 - 2.2 kgf.m
