Removal And Installation

- Disconnect the battery negative terminal
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")
- Remove the engine room under cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- Install the torsion damper using the SST (09231-3D200, 09231-3D100)
Tightening torque:
42.2 - 53.9 N.m (4.3 - 5.5 kgf.m, 31.1 - 39.8 lb.ft)
- Remove the access hall cover (A).
- Rotate the crankshaft pulley clockwise until a groove (A) on the torsion damper comes in sight.
- Install the SST (09231-3D200, 0231-3D100) to the torsion damper to attach the crankshaft decoupler.
- Remove the access hall cover (A).
- Remove the RH front wheel guard.
(Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FRONT WHEEL GUARD ")
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Install the jack under the edge of lower oil pan to support the engine.
- Remove the engine mounting bracket.
(Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE MOUNTING ")
- Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Drive Belt System - "DRIVE BELT ")
- Remove the crankshaft decoupler (A).
Tightening torque:
66.7 - 70.6 N.m (6.8 - 7.2 kgf.m, 49.2 - 52.1 lb.ft) + 113 - 117°
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
