Repair Procedures: Removal

- Remove the high pressure fuel pipe.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "FUEL LINE ")
- Open the clamp cover and disconnect the fuel feed tube (A).NOTE:
- When removing the quick-connector with the clip removing tool, be careful not to damage the plastic clip (A).
- Damaged clip can result in fuel line leakage due to bad connection.
- There may be some residual pressure even after completing "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line", so cover the hose connection with a shop towel to prevent residual fuel from spilling out before disconnecting any fuel connection.
- When removing the quick-connector with the clip removing tool, be careful not to damage the plastic clip (A).
- Disconnect the high pressure fuel pump connector (A).
- Remove the high pressure fuel pump (A) and roller tappet (B) by removing the bolts.
