Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the (-) battery terminal.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")

  2. Remove the front wheel and tire.

    (Refer to Tires/Wheels - "WHEEL ")

  3. Disconnect the stabilizer bar link (B) from the front strut assembly after removing the nut (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb.ft)

    NOTE:
    • When removing the nut (A), fix the outer hexagon of stabilizer bar link (B).
    • Be careful not to damage the stabilizer bar link boots.
  4. Remove the nut (A) and disconnect the stabilizer bar link (B) from the stabilizer bar.

    Tightening torque: 

    98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb.ft)

    NOTE:
    • When removing the nut (A), fix the outer hexagon of stabilizer bar link.

    • Be careful not to damage the stabilizer bar link boots.
  5. Remove the bracket bolts (A) and remove the stabilizer bar (B) from the sub frame.

    Tightening torque: 

    63.7 - 78.4 N.m (6.5 - 8.0 kgf.m, 47.0 - 57.8 lb.ft)
