Removal And Installation: Notes

NOTE:
- Be careful not to allow the static electricity or any voltage is applied to integrated thermal management module (ITM).
- Keep away the magnetic objects (Ex. magnet) from the integrated thermal management module (ITM).
- When connecting the need to standardize, avoid having different meanings for ITMS connector, the water or oil inside the connector shall be completely removed and no foreign matter shall be introduced.
- When disconnecting the integrated thermal management module (ITM) connector, recheck that the engine and all power supplies are shut OFF.
- When replacing the integrated thermal management module (ITM) connector, be sure to use the specified connector.
- Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")
- Remove the engine room under cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- Drain engine coolant by removing the drain plug.
(Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
- Disconnect the RCV hose and pipe (A).
- Remove the intercooler inlet hose and pipe.
- After separating the main wiring protector (A), separate the connector (B) and remove it from the intercooler inlet pipe.
- Disconnect the intercooler inlet hose (A).
- Remove the intercooler inlet pipe (A).
- After separating the main wiring protector (A), separate the connector (B) and remove it from the intercooler inlet pipe.
- Disconnect the radiator upper hose (A).
- Disconnect the integrated thermal management module (ITM) connector (A).
- Disconnect the ATF warmer hose (A).
- Remove the integrated thermal management module valve (ITM) (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.8 lb.ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE: Always use new integrated thermal management control valve (ITM) O-rings.
- Fill with coolant.
(Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
NOTE: The coolant must be injected according to the integrated thermal management module (ITM) coolant filling method. - Start engine and check for leaks.
- Recheck engine coolant level.
