Heating Pipe

- Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")
- Shut off the high voltage circuit.
(Refer to General Information - "HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES ")
- Remove the engine room under cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - " ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER " )
- Drain engine coolant by removing the drain plug.
(Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
- Disconnect the heater hose (A).
- Remove the integrated thermal management module valve (ITM).
- Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Drive Belt System - "DRIVE BELT ")
- Remove the drive belt tensioner.
(Refer to Drive Belt System - "DRIVE BELT TENSIONER ")
- Remove the hybrid starter generator (HSG)
(Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "HYBRID STARTER GENERATOR (HSG) ")
- Remove the heater pipe hose (A).
- Disconnect the EGR hose (A).
- Remove the heater pipe mounting nuts (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.8 lb.ft)
- Remove the heater pipe.
- (2) Remove the heater pipe mounting bolts (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.8 lb.ft)
- (2) Remove the heater pipe mounting bolts (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- Always use new heater pipe gasket.
Assemble the hose so that the circumference of the end of the hose comes into close contact with the plug at the specified position, and then place the clip in place. - Fill with coolant.

NOTE: The coolant must be injected according to the integrated thermal management module (ITM) coolant filling method. - Start engine and check for leaks.
- Recheck engine coolant level.
