Transaxle Mounting Bracket

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")

  2. Shut off the high voltage circuit.

    (Refer to General Information - "HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT - OFF PROCEDURES ")

  3. Remove the engine cover.

    (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE COVER ")

  4. Remove the engine control module (ECM).

    (Refer to Engine/Fuel System - "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) ")

  5. Remove the hybrid power control unit

    (Refer to Hybrid Control System - "HYBRID POWER CONTROL UNIT ")

  6. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

  7. Install jack under the transaxle to support.
    NOTE: Put the rubber block between the jack and transaxle to avoid damaging the transaxle.
  8. Remove the LH front wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FRONT WHEEL GUARD ")

  9. Remove the transaxle support bracket mounting bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    107.8 - 127.4 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.5 - 94.0 lb.ft)

  10. Remove the transaxle mounting bracket (A).

    Tightening torque  :

    63.7 - 83.4 N.m (6.5 - 8.5 kgf.m, 47.0 - 61.5 lb.ft)

  11. Install in the reverse order of removal
