Repair Procedures: Removal

Disconnect the negative battery (-) terminal.
Drain the coolant from the hybrid cooling system.
(Refer to Hybrid Motor Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
Remove the intake manifold.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")
Separate the coolant hose (A).

Disconnect the Electric Water Pump (EWP) connector (A).

Remove the EWP (A) by removing the bolts.
Tightening torque:

17.7 - 21.6 N.m (1.8 - 2.2 kgf.m, 13.0 - 15.9 lb.ft)
