DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN message monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • CAN communication circuit (open, short)
    • CAN high line open
    • CAN low line open
    • CAN high and low line open
    • CAN high line short to battery
    • CAN low line short to battery
    • CAN high, low line short to each other
    • CAN high, low line short to each other and short to ground
  • Terminating Resistance fault
  • Transmitting controller BUS OFF
  • Transmitting controller disconnected
  • Transmitting controller power, fuse or ground fault
  • Transmitting controller H/W, S/W fault
  • CAN line noise
  • CLU fault (CAN module fault)
Enable Condition
  • Engine "ON"
  • Normal operation
Threshold Value
  • CLU CAN message is not received (after entering the initial CAN signal)
Detecting Time
  • 2s
Fail Safe
  • 4WD prohibited
MIL
  • "ON"
