Component Inspection

Inspection Condition	Inspection Procedure	Reference
Ignition "ON".	Refer to "Appropriate Service Information" and remove necessary parts to get access to ECM, FPCM, CVVD actuator and other control units that connected to PT-Local CAN1 communication circuit. Connect KDS to "Data Link Connector (DLC)". Ignition "ON". Disconnect unit connector one after the other. Check for control unit causing the fault by communicating ECM, BMS, TCM and others with KDS. Does KDS able to communicate with any of systems when one unit connector is disconnected?	-

Good

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.

No Good

Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
If problem still occurs, replace control unit that causing the fault and then go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.

If a module is replaced, perform the relevant "Vehicle S/W Management" procedure.
