DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1
  • Check the ELCM switching valve stuck open
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty ELCM
  • Faulty evaporative system
Case 2
  • Check the ELCM switching valve stuck closed
Enable Conditions
  • Vehicle speed is 31 km/h (0 mph)
  • Engine speed is 0 RPM
  • Ignition "OFF"
  • No related failures
  • Ambient air pressure is greater than 75 kPa
  • ECU soaking time is greater than 5 hour
  • Modeled ambient air temperature is greater than 4°C (39°F)
  • Fuel tank level is less than 85%
  • Normal auxiliary battery voltage (10 to 16V)
Threshold Value Case 1
  • ELCM module pressure change less than 0.3 kPa after valve closed (Valve closed fixed)
Case 2
  • ELCM module pressure change less than 1.2 kPa after valve open (Valve open fixed)
