Inspection Procedure

  1. Ignition "OFF" and disconnect fuel pump relay in junction box.
  2. Start the engine and wait until it stalls.
  3. Ignition "OFF" and connect fuel pump relay.
  4. Install the fuel pressure gauge to the delivery pipe using the fuel pressure gauge adaptor. (refer to shop manual)
  5. Activate the fuel pump, check for fuel leaks from the pressure gauge or fuel system.
  6. Measure the fuel pressure at idle.

    Specification : 

    Approx. 4.8 to 5.2 bar (480 to 520 kPa, 4.9 to 5.3 kgf/cm, 69.6 to 75.4 psi)

  7. Is the measured value within specifications?

Good 

• Go to ("Wiring Inspection ") procedure.

No Good 

• Repair as necessary and go to "Verification Of Repair .
